About Us
Joe Stack Owner / Operator
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Joe has been exploring the great outdoors since childhood. He graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Recreation Administration and minor in Business Administration. He has received certifications in Sea Kayaking from American Canoe Association, Fire Fighter 1, Emergency Medical Technician, and Wilderness First Aid. As well as working in the public (East Bay Regional Park District) & non-profit (Janet Pomeroy Center) sectors providing outdoor recreation services. Joe has spent his entire life developing his skills, education, and experiences to become a Bay Area expert in outdoor recreation.
"It has been a dream of mine to allow people the opportunity to choose how they want to experience the great outdoors while making it accessible through affordability and safety. Now, people will have adventure concierge services, and more, available to them. It's my goal to take away most constraints and makes these outdoor experiences possible for everyone..."
Staff
Our staff are well trained in sea kayaking, stand-up paddling, and a variety of other adventure sports. We place emphasis on safety, skill development, and fun! We are a small crew of salty fun loving folks who enjoy the outdoors. Please stop by and say hello!

History
Stacked Adventures started in 2014 with just a small fleet of kayaks and staff based out of Joe’s home. We started out partnering with the City of Alameda on special events, and special interest classes. From here we grew our operations to offer tours throughout the Bay Area becoming a mobile operation and partnering with different Cities around the Bay. Then in 2017 we were able to acquire space at the Encinal Boat Ramp which also allowed us to start the Alameda Paddling Club in 2018. Since then we have slowly been growing our operations to include overnight trips, group outings, rentals, lessons, boat storage & repair, and a variety of paddling tours for all levels of experience. We look forward to the adventures to come!
